I think I used to put up posts of favorite things… today seems like a good day to bring that back.
Here are some fun songs I like right now. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure the videos are great because I didn’t watch them all to make sure. That’s my disclaimer.
Okay, the reason I like this one so much is for the video. How much fun does it look like they’re having!?!?!
For a more clear version go to this video.
I’ve been doing a lot of things for the first time… or experiencing a lot of things and places in Denver. A few weeks ago we got the opportunity to take our refugee family to an NHL game. For free!
We’re pretty sure they had never been to a hockey game. They picked it up so quickly though and followed closely.
One of the other things that we noticed is that we think they rode escalators for the first time too. It’s amazing all the different firsts that refugee families experience.
(Thanks for the people pictures, NM!)
I know I don’t usually post on Tuesdays but I just had to share these picture from the boys’ 15 month photo session!
O has a great I’m-not-looking-at-the-camera face
On our last visit to the zoo the peacocks (and peahens) were out and about. I don’t know if you can really tell how tall his plumage is but that is a door he is “guarding”. I think he’s about 5 feet tall all showin’ off here. Amazing!
The dynamic duo with me in front of the zebras!
Just some fun pictures of the boys outside…
S loves to kick back. Look at his little foot propped up! And both of them are so cute holding on to the sides.
O really likes to explore… S really likes to stand. This is what the park looks like often times. Unless we are in the swings. They both absolutely love to swing!
Water table FUN! O doesn’t have his smock on anymore because he already soaked it. They have the best time with water!
I need a little more time to put together a proper post for my brother’s wedding. Until then, here’s my favorite picture from my camera. I didn’t take very many good pictures over the weekend. I’m pretty upset about it but really glad that a wonderful photographer was there.
My handsome brother after the wedding.
These are long overdue but I had that wedding, remember?
I know that I’m a photographer and all but when it comes to these little ones, sometime my love for the boys trumps the quality of the pictures that I choose to share with you. Keep that in mind when you see some less-than-great quality photos.
Without further ado, the twins at 14 months!
Are you kidding? I adore this picture of O and his Mom! I know it’s a little blurry but my adoration trumps that!
They love looking out of their window. I love seeing these blue eyes!
Mr Bee was kidnapped from his home on my camera and put under the spell of these blue eyes!
Now brace yourself for these little gentlemen…
A button-down AND a tie? I’m jello.
Gotta go Ms Shannon! I’ve got stairs to climb!
And with the sleeves rolled?!? Mmmm. Good.
Back to those stairs! (Check out those little hands!)
Look at those smiles… they sure do love their parents!
So the boys were a little tired by the time we got to my monthly shot with them. Their dad got this great picture of me and O.
And S decided he’d rather be held by his mom. I think this is just the sweetest picture!
Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives!!!
Some of you just got a little tickled assuming that this post was about me directly. Nah. I didn’t mean to lead your thoughts that way. This post is about me indirectly though. I’m taking another little blog break… for the wedding week and honeymoon.
My brother is getting married! I’m so excited for him and for his bride-to-be. I’ll be busy with preparations, celebrating, and recovering from all the festivities for the next few weeks.
If you’d like to leave some love for my brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law, please comment below!
See you in a few weeks!
I’ve only seen S climb into the pajama bin and I’ve only seen O climb into the book bin… but both have done it several times!
Not only are they climbing into bins but they are climbing the stairs as well. They climb like champs too – quick, accurate, and sometimes exploring along the way.
There is a park sign here in Denver that I see a lot. Four Mile Historic Park.
Well, there are hundreds of parks here. I just thought it was a piece of green land with one of those historic markers on it. I’ve always wanted to go by it but never really had the time or thought about it when I did have time. So today while I was taking my time running errands I decided to swing by and check it out. I was even going to get out of my car and read the entire historic marker.
It turns out it is a real historic park. Right down to the monthly historic days where the staff get in costume and character! Today happened to be a free day so I got the whole experience for the big ole price of NADA.
I didn’t actually do everything because I want to do some of those things with my family when they are in town next. But I did do the tour of the house and …
A “carriage” ride. This was so much better that I could have expected. It was just me and the driver so he said I could just hop up front with him. Such a wonderful and unique experience!
What area attractions are in your town that you haven’t checked out yet? I’m sure glad I decided to find out what all those signs were!
